David has over 30 years’ architectural experience. He has been involved with a wide variety of work ranging from bespoke residential, education, commercial and leisure projects to large scale regeneration and urban planning projects.
Already a fully qualified Architectural Technician, David studied architecture at Birmingham and obtained a first class Honours Degree and subsequently a distinction in the Post-Graduate Diploma. He has sustained this passion for architecture and design, serving as a member of the Expert Panel for MADE (Midlands Architecture & Designed Environment) and tutoring part-time on the post-graduate MArch course at Birmingham City University for nearly ten years until 2014. He served for two years as Chairman of the Worcestershire Society of Chartered Architects, and as jury member for the Regional RIBA Awards 2013 and 2016. He has also served on the Design Review Panel for Urban Vision North Staffordshire, advising on design quality.
David has a special interest and expertise in sustainable design and green issues. He was formerly the Regional Coordinator of the Green Register of Architects, and has been invited to speak widely on the topic, including at the Education and Sustainability Conference in Dubai. His work includes many contextual projects that provide environmentally sensitive designs, yet are economically viable and deliverable.
David has worked on numerous projects that have been awarded Regional and National Design Awards, most notably: RIBA Housing Design Awards, CABE Gold Standard Award, and Conservation Awards.
