Newbigin Gardens

Transformative redevelopment scheme for the Church Development Agency to provide 17no. new affordable houses and apartments in this deprived area of Birmingham. Sensitive design to create bespoke, characterful homes alongside the Grade II listed church, Newbigin House and other heritage assets on this challenging site. Working with local organisations, church and residents to use this land more productively for the benefit of the community, with appropriate designs to meet the well-documented need for family housing. Targeting Future Homes Standard for sustainability and a Gold Award for Secured by Design, the project will create high-quality areas of car-free public open space to support community interaction and offset smaller private gardens in this urban setting.
